Kettie Sprenger

Kettie Sprenger has worked for Quinn, Johnston, Henderson, Pretorius & Cerulo for approximately 30 years and has been administrative assistant to partner Murvel Pretorius, Jr. for the past 13 years. Kettie also assists the Office Administrator with staff management issues.

Kettie and her husband, Steve, came to Peoria in 1972, so Steve could join his family's business. Kettie was employed at various criminal law and general practice law offices prior to coming to Quinn Johnston.

As a child, Kettie grew up in Waukegan, a northern suburb of Chicago and enjoyed traveling. She loved growing up on Lake Michigan, spending summer vacations on Lake Superior, visiting Sarasota, Florida, for spring vacations, and traveling to other favorite U.S. destinations with her family. The Chicago area was a great place for Kettie to grow up, because it provided her ample opportunities to enjoy her favorite attractions in the City such as restaurants, zoos, museums, amusement parks and shopping.

Today when Kettie has free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, which consists of her husband and children, Nathan and Dawn, Amanda and Joey, and Ashlee. Also, Kettie loves to spend time with her grandson Kyle and her grand dogs. Kettie's hobbies include gardening, decorating, cooking, entertaining, horseback riding, and antiquing. Kettie feels that Peoria has a strong community-wide commitment to volunteerism and she avidly supported the non-for-profit sector with a focus on fundraising efforts for numerous community organizations over the years.

Kettie feels her years at Quinn Johnston have been a journey, which has been made up of many challenges, joys, ups, downs, successes, failures, and memorable moments. She has met and worked with many diverse and interesting people. She claims that she will someday write a book that will rival anything John Grisham has written, and she will call it "The Quinn Journey!"
